Introduction Letter

My LEAST favorite thing about the beginning of the year is my teacher introduction letter. It literally takes me FOREVER. I don't know what it is about writing about myself that is SO hard. A million questions run through my head... "do they care what my favorite color is?" "are they going to read this?" " why do I only have pictures with people in it and none of myself?" "how can I crop ___ out of this picture?" "Why do I change my hair color so often? None of these even look like I do now." Blah! It is endless.

Anyhow, this year I kept it simple. I have seen several ideas on Pinterest where you write just a little and then post your favorite things.. I love it! EASY, QUICK, and if I find this letter in their backpack 5 months from now with their PB & J  from the first day of school smashed all over it and spilled gator-aide, I will only be a little bit sad! :)

I am new to the blogging world so I am having a difficult time figuring out how to make things editable without allowing people to change the backgrounds, etc. So, I think I might have it figured out this time.... Dun... Dun... Dun... The teacher introduction letter is editable. You will just have to download the fonts yourself. No sweat though, I'll tell you which ones and where to find them so you don't have to search yourself!

  1. This is a very cute letter and a great idea, but there is a run-on sentence at the end of the first paragraph. Where you wrote, "This is my second year teaching, last year I taught fourth grade in Avondale, AZ", there should either be a period or a semicolon after "This is my second year teaching". I just figured you'd want to address this before you sent the letter out to parents, especially if you will be the one teaching their children grammar! :)
